Nigerian musician, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, has spoken out against celebrities and fashion entrepreneurs who publicly mock others for wearing counterfeit designer items.

In a recent post on his X page formerly Twitter, Zlatan condemned the act of shaming people for wearing fake products, emphasizing that it is unfair to ridicule those who may not yet have the financial capacity to afford original designer items.

He said, “Let people wear fake if that’s what they can afford until they have the money to buy the original. The person wearing fake today can wear original tomorrow.”

Zlatan’s comments come amidst a growing trend of individuals, including celebrities like Oritse Femi and Lyta, being publicly called out by fashion entrepreneurs for sporting counterfeit high-end fashion brands.
