Information reaching us from Zamfara State has it that, the whole nooks and crannies of the state has been enveloped with joy and happiness as the Executive Governor of the state, Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle surprised workers with a full payment of the approved minimum wage.
The good gesture of the governor has stirred a huge celebration across the entire 14 local governments of the state with the full implementation of the minimum wage for all categories of its labour force.
Chants of Matawalle, the People’s Governor, is said to have dominated most of the government offices as workers smiled happily home in joy.
A civil servant in Gusau, Ali Moruf, who spoke to us said that this November salary paid today Monday, has triggered off an unprecedented joy among civil servants in the state;
“We applaud Governor Hon. Dr. Bello Muhammad Matawalle (Shattiman Sokoto), MON, for the fulfilment of his promise to implement the newly thirty thousand minimum wage amid dwindling resources,” he said.
Equally acknowledging the gesture of the government, Adamu Yusuf who said he is a teacher in Gusau had this to say; “This development is commendable and I must say that, truly, Governor Matawalle deserves a pat on the back. God bless Governor Matawalle, God bless Zamfara State, God bless Nigeria, God bless APC in Zamfara state.”
