Mama Mia , a new single by a young, fast rising music star, Von Blake will on August 9, 2024 made a debut on the music scene, it will be followed up with an album in September.
Von Blake, born Dilina Blake Ezeofor, is a civil Engineer who, since stamping his presence on the music scene has churned out a plethora of chart bursting singles, Mama mia is the latest of such singles.
Music analysts who have listened to Blake’s songs and watch him perform on stage say he operates with the assured air of generational talent and energetic stage performances which makes him a beacon for Afro Calypso global expansion in addition to possessing a futurist epoch that produces a vibrant mosaic of music – encompassing influences from calypso, reggaetón’s melodic undertone, folk music and the immersive sonics of highlife.
In Mama Mia, a soulful instrumental, Von Blakes makes a case for cross-continental pollination which would step into a new fusion of music genre.
Mama Mia promises to project Blake into the thrills of global stardom as front bearer of Afro Calypso.
Blake speaks about the single with pride, satisfaction and fulfillment: “Mama Mia is an Afro Calypso music that encompasses the thought you put into someone you love and how much you are ready to give into it. It’s one thing to genuinely love someone and spend money alongside but when it loses that main interest, it’s not love anymore but lust.”

Apart from Mama Mia, Von Blake has to his credit, other chart-burster singles such as Tom Tom Waist, Fine Fine Caro, and A New Sound, On a Sunday among others.
A master in his field, Von Blake is fast making inroads into the international music scene through his participation in international music events and inching towards international stardom. The young music artist and INVICTUS came 3rd in the Spanish/ Nigeria musical competition held on the 24th of March 2023. The international musical event which featured 2000 Nigerian artists was organized by the Spanish Embassy in Nigeria.
A singer, songwriter and composer, Blake’s love for music blossomed throughout his academic pursuit. In secondary school, for example, he teamed up with like minds in his class to form the musical group, INVICTUS.
Promoted and managed by Zeof Records, a music company dedicated to discovering nurturing and growing talented young artists, Von Blake is optimistic about his future and music career.
