Nollywood star actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, popularly known as RMD has decried the rumour making the rounds that he is having extramarital affairs.
Speaking recently in an interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, the veteran actor lamented and said; “This is the age of social media. There are people who, they look at you and don’t have any regard for the sanctity of your marriage or your home.”
“All you want to do is just tear me down, saying things like oh he’s in love with somebody else, he’s going to leave his wife tomorrow.”
“Why do people like to see celebrity marriages crash? I’ve never really seen myself as a celebrity and so my marriage is not a “celebrity marriage” and so she has kept it.”
For those who don’t know, there were rumours in town that RMD is cheating on his wife, Jumobi with another woman.
Rumour mongers had claimed that RMD is having a romantic affair with one Chioma Ilomuanya.
According to those spreading the rumour, the lady, Chioma is an interior decorator and has allegedly been seeing RMD for some time.
It is interesting to know that RMD and his wife, Jumobi Adegbesan got married in 2000.
