Famous showbiz entrepreneur and Special Adviser to Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State on Tourism has sacrificed his four months salary to battle the spread of COVID-19 a.k.a Coronavirus in Cross River State and Nigerian as a whole.
This is contained in a letter the Made Men Music Group (MMMG) boss wrote to his principal.
It reads; “Your Excellency, it is no longer news that the world is currently experiencing a devastating pandemic which has caused the death of thousands of old and young people.”
“Sir, the impact of this disease has been catastrophic as it has not only led to so many deaths but also ensured sudden halt in economic activities across the globe thereby causing so much hardship.”
“Fortunately, Nigeria is among the few nations in the world with very low numbers in terms of spread of the disease and I commend the federal and state government for being proactive and diligent in the regard.”
“However, the fact that we must be vigilant and have all hands on deck in order to adequately fight and curtail its spread in our dear state in particular and Nigeria in general cannot be over emphasized.”
“It is in light of the above, Your Excellency that I wish to donate my four months salary to assist the fight against COVID-19 in Cross River state. Please accept this as my little contribution towards the wonderful work which you have been doing in ensuring that our state is free from this disease and in building a viable healthcare system in the state.”
“Accept the assurance of my best regards Sir.”
