Famous gospel singer, Osinachi Kalu, popularly known as Sinach is in trouble.
The renowned musician has been sued by music producer, Michael Oluwole for N5 billion over her hit song, ‘Way Maker’. Oluwole a.k.a Maye is accusing the singer of copyright infringement.
However, Maye, in a suit numbered FHC/L/CS/402/2024, declared that he and Sinach co-owned the ‘Way Maker’ song. He also claimed to have written the song.
The producer, demanded that the female gospel singer pay him N5 billion for cumulative infringement of his rights.
The trial began on Wednesday November 27, 2024 at the Federal High Court in Lagos. The case was adjourned until January 29 and 30, 2025.
