Warri South West Local Government Area witnessed a landmark event yesterday as Mr. Christopher Ogbitse Tonwe was officially sworn in as the Secretary to the Local Government (SLG).
The ceremony, which held at the council’s secretariat in Ogbe-Ijoh, followed his confirmation by the Delta State House of Assembly.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Sylvester Oromoni, congratulated Mr. Tonwe on his appointment, describing it as a result of divine favor and the positive support of stakeholders in the Warri South West Development Project.
The chairman urged the new Secretary to approach his duties with responsibility, dedication, and foresight, assuring him of the council’s full cooperation and support.
The swearing-in ceremony, attended by dignitaries, council staff, party leaders, and members of the press, marks a significant milestone in the leadership of the local government.
Mr. Tonwe now assumes the critical role of coordinating administrative activities in the council, with high expectations for fostering growth and development in the area.
