Chief Executive Officer of Equity Concepts Entertainment, Rowland Okorie, has in recent times been speaking on his dissatisfaction with Nigerian leaders.
Okorie, in a statement he issued on Thursday, April 6th, 2023, took a swipe at the governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, calling him a liar and a tribalistic leader.
He said; “Some leaders are not just living by example, they are full of deceit. Most times they easily walk away due to people around them being a sycophant. Whenever I listens to Yoruba elder statesman and Afenifere chieftain, Chief Ayo Adebanjo I see a different kind of leader who understands the position Nigeria should be headed.”
“The Governor of Lagos State has not demonstrated that he is a true Nigerian. He is everything he talked against in his recent speech, no content of unity. Listening to his speech this morning was a disgrace, it shows he has no respect for the unity of the country.”
“It hurts my stomach and makes me sick. I call it the worst and most dangerous divisive speech I have ever listened to post election in modern Nigerian history. It was full of hate and anger, lies, deceit and most dangerously provocative. It was provocative even to his audience because they know he is a lying governor all the time he opens his mouth.”
“The governor of Lagos did not use his best moments and the momentum behind his hard voice to call for the peace of the land he instigated and implanted more hate in the minds of his followers. He could not utilize one minute of his time to say hate against Igbos.”
“This must stop now and we must live together as one. I did not hear any of those words. I would simply say let there be peace because I know my people listen. If these people fight for him that would mean they will as well listen to him. I will only respect his office when he starts addressing major concerns of the people and take thugs out of the streets of Lagos. I think he is tribalist or he knows what he is doing.”
Rowland Okorie, did not also spare MC Oluomo in his statement as he lambasted him and his followers calling them unprintable names.
Okorie said; “A lot of people are saying that Sanwo-Olu used MC Oluomo and his team for election maneuvering, sometimes I think it is true because the Governor has not condemned Oluomo for ordering the killings of Igbos in Lagos including gang members assaulting and locking Igbo peoples’ source of livelihood.”
“The corrupt Nigeria media establishment is keeping quiet. Call your governor out! When you see evil call it out that is how Nigeria can be better. These actions cannot be labeled as discriminatory or even as bigotry when Governor Sanwo-Olu perpetrates them. I think he should enact or create laws prohibiting an Igbos man from building houses in no man’s land,” he suggests.
