Nigerian movie industry has been thrown into mourning as one of its own, Junior Pope Odonwodo, popularly known as Jnr Pope has died in a boat accident.
The unfortunate accident happened on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 in Anambra State, along the Anam River.
The actor reportedly lost his life alongside four other actors on their way back from a location for a movie production.
Sadly, in a video that surfaced on social media, Jnr Pope was seen telling the driver of the boat to slow down, that he does not want to die and leave his three children behind.
He also squealed that it is one of the risk they (actors) take to entertain people.
However, the actor was seen on the speeding boat without a life jacket.
According to sources the boat capsided on their way back from the location and three actors including Junior Pope did not make it alive.
For those who don’t know, Junior Pope was 39years old. He was born May 7th, 2024.
