Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has gone on bended knees to beg his predecessor, Nyesom Wike not to stay away from him.
This is coming following rumours spreading like wild harmattan fire that the former Governor is set to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Fubara said; “While we are seeing signs that it’s like you want to go over to the other side with everybody wishing that, please don’t be too far from me because I know that the sharks, the tigers are really around looking for what to hurt.”
“So, being around would continue to guide and put my head straight for the purpose of this state.”
Recall that Wike, alongside his allies, the G5 Governors recently had a meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Aso Rock, Abuja.
Besides, there have been strong speculations that Wike would form part of President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.
