Veteran broadcaster and Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle, has taken Pastor Lazarus Muoka led Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries’ members to the cleaners.
The movie star is very angry over the popular phrase “I Am Chosen,” often chanted by members of the church. This, Doyle, said does not align with Christian doctrine.
He disclosed this in a post on his Facebook page.
He wrote; “The members of this sect do not have Jesus in mind when they chant the phrase. Their adoration is unequivocally directed at a man, their GO, and the sect he founded. The phrase does not mention or even imply Jesus in any way.”
“To infer that the nonsensical phrase is remotely connected to giving glory to the name or person of our Savior, Jesus Christ, is to make a mockery of our faith.”
“Bloggers and content creators using the phrase are not mocking the Church of God but the sect in question and its founder.”
Pastor Lazarus Muoka and his church members have been in the news in recent time following their controversial testimonies making the rounds on social media.
Recall that in a viral video, some of the members of the church were seen sharing “unbelievable” testimonies which has divided opinions on the internet.
In the viral video, one of the members of the church claimed to have ridden on a lion. According to the man, he said something entered his back and lifted him up. He said the thing carried him like an aeroplane to the express.
He continued; “When it reached there, it dropped me. When it dropped me, I turned to look at what carried me and as I looked it was lion.”
“So when the lion dropped me, the place was very narrow and tight, it now raised one hand up and asked me to go like this (pointing to the left). When I go, the lion said bye bye.”
Another testifier, a lady said she fought robbers and took their AK-47 rifles. She said she miraculously gained control of their guns and ensured the arrest of three of the robbers as one escaped.
