Popular Nigerian singer, Paul Okoye of the defunct music duo, P-Square, showed his unwavering support for his older brother, Jude Okoye, during a court appearance on Friday, February 28, 2025.

Jude, who was formerly the manager of P-Square, is currently facing charges related to money laundering involving ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. He was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.
However, speaking to the press outside the courtroom, Paul, known as Rudeboy, expressed his commitment to securing Jude’s release, accusing his twin brother, Peter Okoye a.k.a MrP of being behind the legal issues that have led to their elder brother’s current predicament.
He said; “I’m supporting him because I know the truth. The truth is Peter is the one putting Jude through all of this. It’s Peter who is causing him to be in prison, and I’m here to bring him out.”
Paul went on to assert that both he and Peter were equally implicated in the alleged crime. He said; “The same crime they accused Jude of, Peter and I are also guilty of.”
Jude Okoye, along with his company Northside Music Ltd, faces a seven-count charge. The case is being heard before Justice Alexander Owoeye of the Federal High Court in Lagos. Jude pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
As the legal proceedings continue, Jude was remanded in the Ikoyi correctional facility after Justice Owoeye rejected a request to have him held in EFCC custody. The court will consider his bail application in the coming days.
