Information reaching us right now has it that one of the facilities of the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) in Oyo State has been attacked by suspected gunmen.
We gathered that the prison named Abolongo Correctional Facility got attacked on Friday, October 22nd, 2021 by the gunmen.
Sources squealed to us that the attackers stormed the facility around 10pm on Friday.
Sources said the attackers used explosives to break the facility and set prisoners free.
However, Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS), Oyo State Spokesman, Olanrewaju Anjorin while responding to the attack, said;
“Yes, it has been confirmed that the attack actually happened.”
“And right now, the comptroller of Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) and other top officers are assessing the situation.”
“But, I can confirm to you that the incident actually happened”.
