Ogun State House of Assembly has issued an invitation to political heads and management teams of the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology led by the Commissioner, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) the State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Head of Technical and Vocational Education Board and the State Civil Service Commission.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi Elemide, who issued the invitation today at the plenary noted that the invitees were to appear before the State House of Assembly on Thursday, 23rd of January at 2.00pm prompt.
Meanwhile, the Assembly has paid glowing tribute in honor of the memories of the late Deputy Chief Whip of the Federal House of Representatives, who until her death, represented Sagamu/Ikenne and Remo North Federal Constituency in the green chamber, Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga and the mother of the renowned Fuji meastro, Alhaja Halimat Saddiyah Anifowose, who died last week.
The State lawmakers led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oludaisi led other lawmakers including the Deputy Speaker, Bolanle Lateefat Ajayi, the Minority Leader, Lukman Adeleye, Honourables Damilare Bello and Dickson Awolaja, Olakunle Sobukanla Oluseun Odunuga described the late lawmaker as a quintessential leader whose representation brought tremendous developments to her Constituency.
They noted that the death of Hon. Onanuga would create a vacuum that would ease very difficult to fill, stressing that she was a bridge between generations, very generous political leader with high level of humility and had impacted her constituents positively.
In the same vein, the Assembly eulogized the mother of Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde as a great mother, who lived a life of outstanding accomplishments, with one of her children as the renowned Fuji meastro and thereafter observe a minute silence in honour of the two great departed Nigerians.
