Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State has raised a dust as he has now declared that he has not yet joined any other political platform.
The Governor took to his Twitter page to make the revelation.
He wrote; “I have not moved to a new platform yet to seek re-election. My focus now is to control the spread of the coronavirus (#COVID19) pandemic, which is ravaging our country and threatening our healthcare system. Stay safe.”

However, Obaseki had on Tuesday, June 16th, 2020 announced that he has formally resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said; “I have officially resigned my membership of the All Progressives Congress after meeting with the Chief of Staff (CoS) to President Muhammadu Buhari.”
“We shall continue the battle to protect the interest of Edo people and sustain good governance in the state.”
