Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele has eventually appeared before the House of Representatives Adhoc Committee investigating the redesigned Naira notes.
This is coming less than 24-hours after the committee warned him to appear or stand the risk of being arrested.
Besides, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila had about a week ago threatened to issue a warrant of arrest for Emefiele, following his repeated failure to appear before the Committee.
Interestingly, Emefiele arrived at the National Assembly on Tuesday morning, January 31st, 2023. He stormed the Assembly in the company of CBN top officials.
