Man Arraigned Over Threat To Kill Uber Driver In Lagos

In a matter that was reported at Langbasa Police Divisional Headquarters, in Ajah Area of Lagos State by uber driver, Michael Oyowe, who is a victim of oppression, violent threats and attempted murder, continuous subjugation led by group of syndicate car transport company: Mijan Logistics Services a.k.a Swiftkey Logistics deceitfully working under a fake address situate at Suite K 194 Road 5, Ikota Shopping Complex, Lekki, Lagos, owned by one Mr. Nelson Owen Ode, alongside his accomplices: Mr. Reginald Ikponmwosa Owen-Ode, Mr. Femi Olufojude and Mr. Kenneth Ifeanyi Akpos operating with a group of dreaded uniformed military who attacked and subvert justice at will unimpeded, wherein they threatened and attacked innocent young Nigerians operating as Uber Driver via a decoy operation of a higher purchase transport business, but regrettably before the due date they go all out in a Gestapo style to track down and forcefully retrieve the car from the hirer/Uber Driver, deceitfully claiming the car was stolen and thereby denying any legal transaction relationship with the victim, unfortunately this has been their usual trademark of evil.

According to the victim: Mr. Michael Oyowe explained that he has been under continuous fear of imminent attack by Mr Neslon led thugs, and that he has paid over N1,904,500.00 representing over 90% with additional incurred expenses of N1,593,800.00 of the due hire purchase sum cost of N2,500,000.00 for a Toyota Silver Colour Corrola car with registration number AAA502FL valued at N1,500,000.00.

He explained further that his fellow colleague who were never lucky to meet a good lawyer and Samaritan helper like Barr. Oladotun Hassan were dumped in harrowing excruciating pain and agony, for instance one of the driver died on the steering wheel due to the pressure of attacks from the suspects and yet they still went ahead to sell off his car after heavy pursuits that killed the innocent guy, other numerous victims such as:

  2. Kingsley Owan (corolla MUS 938 FX)
  3. Folorunsho Seun (corolla KRD 666 FH)

Olanrewaju Kazeeem (Corolla APP 458 FR) who over paid with more than N100,000.00 but the money was not returned nor transferred back to him by the aforementioned culprits, painfully all of them lost their hard earned money, investments and time without any compensation.

Hence, this is a clarion call to Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and Attorney General of Lagos State to jointly call for justice and ensure due diligent holistic intelligent approach and thorough investigation to this and any other numerous untold atrocities committed by the suspected criminals.

But luck went out of their way when the principal suspect: Mr. Reginald Ikponmwosa Owen-Ode, Male, Age 44 years and others at large, led a team of thugs and military personnel to attack Mr. Michael Oyowe, the uber driver victim with a towing van with an intention to forcefully collect his car on Thursday 22nd September, 2022 around 8.45pm, however thanks to the men of the Nigeria Police Force who came to his rescue and after due diligent investigation by the Investigation Police Officer: Inspector Omede Alhaji attached to Langbasa Police Station, Ajah, Lagos, then the suspect was charged on 5th October, 2022 and adjourned for trial on 14th October, 2022 before Magistrate Mrs. H.O Omisore, and ACP Gbemileke Agoi as Prosecutor, Court, Eti-Osa Court 1, Ajah, Lagos on a 3 count charges with Charge Number: ET/A/102/2022
bordering on threatening violence, threat to life, criminal breach of peace and forceful seizure of property, he was granted bail in the sum of N100,000 and surety in like sum.

The matter is adjourned to 14th November, 2022 for continuation of trial.
