The Chief Executive Officer of Equity Concepts Entertainments, Rowland Okorie is calling for Ndi-Igbo’s massive support for the biggest award in the history of African music and beyond.

Anderson Obiagwu is the Founder of the African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA), a man with no myopic vision, popularly known as Big A, a name you must recognise in the global music and entertainment industry. He is fashion and style giant and a recipient of the ICONS of Humanity Awards due to his selfless service to humanity.

He has conquered the Nigeria music industry and taken it beyond the widest dream of any African man.

Mr Obiagwu recently held his 50th birthday party adored by his beautiful wife, Ifeoma Obiagwu where all notable personalities and Top celebrities gathered to honour the entertainment mogul.

Faces at the party includes the likes of Flavour, 2face, Ebuka Obi Uchendu, E-Money, Kcee, Chima Anyaso, Obi Cubana, Phyno, Timaya, and Bovi, amongst others, also celebrating with Anderson were his family.

Igbo’s are the best brand in the world as we all can see. The one thing lacking is our support towards our own brands. We will change it. He continues to support young and upcoming artists.

In less than a weeks to go, the African Global Musical Awards looms in the corner with African musical superstars and top celebrities crossing their fingers, hopeful to steal one or two awards in their various genres.

Okorie said; “I am calling on all powerful Igbo business men and investors all around the world to support our own. Project Nwafor Igbo calls it part of the Igbo business exodus initiative. Going back home to develop and build our Igbo states.”

In his usual style of ‘‘No classic event must escape attendance”, the Mbaise dreadlock CEO of Equity Concept Entertainment has affirmed his unequivocal attendance and live presence of himself with the Project NWAFOR Igbo brand.

He says that the event is a celebration of creativity and will be adored with the presence of Igbo sons and daughters who have done well for themselves. AFRIMA is a big name for all Africans not limited to Nigerians alone.

They need to be seen side by side as the next big thing bringing solutions to the southeast. That is where we must go and preach the gospel of Ndigbo Business Exodus. It is pertinent and non negotiable. Ndigbo must bring home the standard of negotiation, business networking, database transmission, event organization and payment for intellectual property back home to Nigeria.

The level of our music sound and videos must be top notch, even though we are trying but we need to look more into the real dividends coming from international business algorithms.

Above all we must come out en masse to support our fellow Ndi Igbo. We are one family, one people, one blood. Igbos must learn to continually be extra proud of their stars. Be it in Music or movies. These creative people put Nigeria on the global map and make the world talk about us.

The recent mega buster movie Guardians of the universe has as its villain the High Evolutionary, a man obsessed with evolution and experimentation with genetics. One who even created Rocket Raccoon himself through torturous methods. This character is played by Chukwudi Iwuji, an Igbo man. So you see, we are right there on the entertainment stage of the world.

Look at the clubs here, Nigerian jams dominate back to back. This is a sign that we have taken over the international scene, and the igbos are everywhere as evidence of our creative prowess. If we support our Igbo brothers and sisters back home in Nigeria, our music can become one of our greatest exports.

One more artist I look to perform at the award is the new Igbo Kwenu crooner John Patrick fresh from the oven with a hit single. That is my wish to see him perform or even as a nominee because I think he is the rave of the moment. My other favorite artiste will be Omah Lay, I think Nigeria has never got a better one to replace him yet.

Even the organizers of the event as well need to be encouraged in every way. We must support them and be proud of them. They can use their voice to talk and sing against diabolical events that continue to strip every shred of integrity from our motherland. Project Nwafor Igbo will be on location to discuss, collect endorsement and network with high profile individuals. It will also be the best ground to intimate the world of our launch in June next year.

The time has come for us Ndigbo to get it right. Rowland Okorie
