Latest On Singer Mayorkun’s Stolen Jewelry

Famous singer, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, popularly known as Mayorkun, had vowed never to perform in Calabar, Cross River State again.

This is coming after his necklace, worth millions of naira was stolen at an event in Calabar recently.

However, taken to his Instagram page, Mayorkun, wrote; “Calabar, You’ll probably never ever see me again, good luck to the other artists coming for your festivals tho.”

Meanwhile, information reaching us from his colleague, Iyanya, who also performed at the event in Calabar, has it that one of Mayorkun’s stolen diamond chains has been recovered and returned to The Grand Hotel Calabar.

Iyanya, made the revelation via his social media platform on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023 as he shared a picture of the retrieved jewelry.

He wrote; “Thank you to the guy who brought this back this morning to THE GRAND HOTEL CALABAR. Just returned now is 1 of 2 of #Mayorkun jewelry. We have one more to go. My brothers, if you have the second one please help us return it.”

Besides, Iyanya, had before now, appealed to the people to tell whoever that stole the jelwery to return it with the promise to reward the person.

He wrote; “My Calabar people, this is very bad for the peaceful people I know us to be. The government has brought my colleagues to entertain you, all you owe them is protection and great hospitality.”

“If you know anyone who stole from my brother, please return it and I will personally compensate you. Drop it at The Grand Hotel. I will personally compensate you please.”
