As part of the unprecedented partnership and collaboration efforts of Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) with other agencies in Lagos state, NAFDAC has embarked on destruction of seized codeine at the LASEPA Mini Effluent Treatment Plant, at the agency’s head quarters in Alausa Ikeja.
Present at the event are the Director of NAFDAC, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye who was full of praises for Lagos State Government and LASEPA on the establishment of the plant.
She said; “We chose Lagos state for the destruction of the drugs because we know its capacity and capabilities.”
The Honourable Commissioner for Environment, Tunji Bello also expressed his satisfaction and happiness at the agency’s achievements.
Honorable Abiru, Chairman, House Committee on Environment and other dignitaries were also at the epoch making event.
