Former Super Eagles striker and captain, Kanu Nwankwo, fondly known as Papilo has been recognised by Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State as he has now been appointed by the governor as his Senior Special Assistant on Sports.
This was revealed on Thursday, August 15th, 2019 in a statement by the governor’s Special Assistant on New Media, Akwarandu Izuchukwu and it states;
“In this new role, the Nigeria World Cup skipper will assist the Ihedioha administration on rebuilding the sports sector in Imo State.”
