Amidst rumours making the rounds in Lagos State politics that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) want to form an alliance with the Labour Party (LP) to oust Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Azeez Adeniran a.k.a Jandor has come out to deny the claim.
Jandor, in a statement by the Head of his Campaign Council, Hakeem Amode, said; “The claim credited to Rhodes-Vivour was disrespectful to the PDP as no one can lay claims to the ownership structure.”
“Whoever the LP candidate is talking to represents themselves and not Lagos PDP.”
“No official conversation across the two-party lines at the moment, and Jandor is not planning to step down.”
“Adeniran became a household name on his own merit due to immense hard work, not “sudden waves”.”
“We expect to see the decision of the people of Lagos to break free “respected and defended” on March 11.”
“Efforts to liberate the state from the present oligarchy of the APC cannot be undermined or subjected to social media cruise.”
For those who don’t know, the governorship and House of Assembly elections will be held across the country on Saturday, March 11th, 2023.
