As women are being celebrated all over the world in recognition of the International Women’s Day, Amb. Juliet Porbeni, Founder of Julietgreenandwhite Foundation, has hailed women for their social, economic, cultural and political achievements.
According to the philanthropist;
“Today, Monday 8th, March 2021 is International Women’s Day and the purpose of the day is to uphold women’s achievements, recognize challenges, and focus greater attention on women’s rights globally.”

“Women earn 23% less than men globally.
Women occupy only 24% of parliamentary seats worldwide. 1 in 3 have experiences physical or sexual violence and 200million of girls/women have suffered genital mutilation.”
“I call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women, who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities.”
“I call for women’s right to decision-making in all areas of life, equal pay, equal sharing of unpaid care and domestic work, an end all forms of violence against women and girls, and healthcare services that respond to their needs.”
