In recognition of the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, Sterling One Foundation has reaffirmed its commitment to protecting the ozone layer as a critical part of its broader climate action efforts. The Foundation emphasized the need for global collaboration in addressing ozone depletion and tackling climate change as part of the drive to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
Ozone preservation plays a pivotal role in safeguarding ecosystems and human health by reducing harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation that contributes to environmental degradation and health risks. As part of its core focus on climate action, Sterling One Foundation continues to prioritize initiatives aimed at mitigating these risks and promoting sustainable development.
Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO, Sterling One Foundation, stressed the vital importance of ozone layer protection within the organization’s overall climate action strategy, stating, “Protecting the ozone layer is essential to securing the future health and well-being of both our environment and communities.
