Former Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State is in big trouble. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been bombarded with petitions about the politician’s alleged looting of Akwa Ibom treasury. Mr. Leo Ekpenyong sent a petition recently to the anti-corruption agency that the ex-governor owns eleven blocks of four luxury flats which is a total of 44 flats in Woji, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Besides, the petitioner also added that the politician allegedly owns 27 estates and some of the housing estates have between 25 and 75 flats and these estates are located in Lekki Phase 1, close to Pan African University, Off Chevron Roundabout, Lagos. According to him, other estates are in Banana Island, Gbagada and Ogunlana Drive, Lagos.
