In a heartfelt gesture to celebrate the Christmas season, Global University Admission Consultancy, GUAC, Germany, has donated a variety of items to the Holy Child Motherless Babies Home in Ogui, Enugu State. The donation is aimed to bring joy and comfort to the motherless children the home.
Among the items donated were a 50kg bag of rice, two cartons of Indomie noodles, two packs of diapers, one carton of Viva toilet soap, two packs of Omo laundry detergent, two packs of tissue paper, and two liters of Jik bleach. This initiative reflects GUAC’s commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting acts of kindness.
Making the presentation, GUAC CEO, Sandra Viehoever expressed her deep passion for philanthropy, emphasizing her longstanding dedication to helping the less privileged. She explained that her journey of supporting motherless children began at the age of 11 when she first visited a similar home while studying at Holy Rosary College (HRC) in Uwani, Enugu.
Viehoever deeply reflected on the challenges these children face after enduring the loss of their parents, saying they deserve love, stability, and opportunities to thrive. “For me, I really wanted to make a difference in my community, especially among the vulnerable children, knowing that my support could improve their lives. I believe that even small acts of kindness can have a meaningful impact.”
“When I think about the children in motherless babies homes, my feelings are mixed, knowing in my heart that these children are cared for and supported by dedicated individuals and organizations,” she said.
