Ex-Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan former aide,
Dr. Doyin Okupe is reportedly dead. He died at the age of 72.
Sources told us that Okupe had been critically ill before his demise.
According to sources, the medical doctor cum politician had been battling with cancer.
Our sources added that sometime in October 2023 that he was hospitalized with prostate cancer and was flown to Israel for treatment.
According to our sources, the deceased was initially diagnosed with prostate cancer 16 years ago and later developed sarcoma in his right shoulder.
For those who don’t know, Dr. Doyin Okupe was Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Okupe also served as the Director-General of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi’s campaign organisation.
