Former Minister, Sarah Ochekpe Jailed Over N450 Million Fraud

Former Minister of Water Resources, Sarah Ochekpe has been sentenced to three months imprisonment by a Federal High Court sitting in Jos on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

Sarah Ochekpe was sentenced alongside Raymond Dabo, a former chairman of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State and the Plateau State Coordinator of Jonathan Campaign Organization, Leo-Sunday Jitong.

The three accused persons had been standing trial since 2018 in a case of money laundering and conspiracy brought against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) amounting to over N450 million.

For those who don’t know, Sarah Ochekpe served as Minister under former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
