Former Governor Abdul Aziz Abubakar Yari of Zamfara State has welcomed the decamping of Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All progressive Congress (APC).
Yari made this known on Monday, June 28th, 2021 in Kaduna after meeting with Zamfara APC stakeholders.
He said; “I don’t have any aggressive motive nor intention against my friend decamping, as a sitting Governor of our dear state, Zamfara, Governor Matawalle have the right of association and without wasting further time.”
“I Abdul Aziz Abubakar Yari the former Governor of Zamfara State, hereby with all honesty declare my total loyalty and support to His Excellency Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle.”
Yari described Governor Matawalle as a true democrat, trustworthy and hardworking gentleman whose name must be remembered for his numerous life changing projects in the state.
Interestingly, the former Governor added: “I have a strong feelings and believed that my friend Governor Matawalle will support my Chairmanship ambition so as to emerge as the next APC National Chairman.”
