Nigerian superstar, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as Tuface a.k.a 2baba remains unshakened on the EndSARS lawsuit filed against him and 49 others, mostly celebrities.
For those who don’t know, a Nigerian activist named Kenechukwu Okeke, instituted a criminal suit against Tuface Idibia and the other 49 which include; Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz, Yemi Alade, Davido, Aisha Yesufu, Deji Adeyanju, etc. before the Federal Capital High Court in Abuja, FCT over the #EndSARS protests.
Okeke said that between October 28 and October 30, 2020 Tuface and the other 49 used their Twitter accounts to conspire amongst themselves to “commit misdemeanor, to wit promoting or acting in such a manner with intent to assist in the promotion of an unlawful assembly under the guise or composition of #EndSARS”.
Okeke also claimed that the offence was punishable under Section 97 (2) of the Penal Code Act, C53 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
However, reacting to the lawsuit which is currently making the rounds on social media, 2baba in a statement by his Manager, Efe Omorogbe, said;
“There’s no comment yet. We have not been served any paper. We have not received any formal summon. We can’t respond to what is merely trending on social media until we receive a summon we can’t respond.”
See below the suit as tweeted by Okeke via his Twitter page…
