The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman, AbdulRasheed Bawa has been suspended indefinitely by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Bawa’s suspension is coming following the allegations levelled against him over his abuse of office.
However, Bawa has immediately handed over to the Director of Operations in the Commission.
This is contained in a statement issued by Willie Bassey, Director, Information, SGF office on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023.
The statement reads; “Mr Bawa has been directed to immediately handover the affairs of his office to the Director, Operations in the Commission, who will oversee the affairs of the Office of the Chairman of the Commission pending the conclusion of the investigation.”
