Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has been hit by the ravaging Coronavirus pandemic as he has now tested positive to the virus.
The Governor disclosed this in a statement. He said; “I am asymptotic and has since isolated myself in line with protocols by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).”
“Some of my close aides also tested positive for the virus after carrying out the Coronavirus test.”
“Residents should take preventive measures. My deputy, Kelechi Igwe will take over the frontline coordination of the state’s fight against the disease.”
“I am working from home and will conduct all meetings virtually.”
