That the Department of State Services (DSS) had on Monday, February 13th, 2023 invited former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode over his tweet.
For those who don’t know, Fani-Kayode had over the weekend tweeted that some top military officers met with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar and were plotting to carry out a coup.
However, the DSS, speaking after interrogating Femi Fani-Kayode, member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council for five hours, said;
“Chief Fani-Kayode faced a panel which interviewed him on the subject matter. Afterwards, the Service granted him administrative bail and directed that he make routine returns to the Office with effect from Wednesday, 15th February, 2023 till otherwise.”
“This is to also warn political parties to apply restraint in their comments ahead of the elections.”
