As Nigeria marks its “Democracy Day” today, June 12, the President of Miss Green & White Nigeria for Peace, Amb. (Mrs.) Juliet Geoffrey Porbeni a.k.a Julietgreenandwhite has called on the government to use the medium to address the insecurity situation in the country.
Amb. Juliet, gave the advise in her goodwill message.
She said; “The rate of insurgency and insecurity in Nigeria is alarming.”
“I urge the leadership of this Government to make frantic efforts to tackle these challenges of insecurity in our nation Nigeria and put an end to it.”
“Look at the attacks, sporadic shooting of unarmed and innocent citizens, burning of police stations, churches, kidnapping of school children and teachers, rape, armed robbery, political crises, murder, destruction of oil facilities, attacks carried out by Fulani Herdsmen, etc. Many lives and properties have been lost and a large number of citizens rendered homeless. Families have lost their loved ones.“
“The truth is that this problems will definitely hinder national development and Nigerians have lost hope.”
“The leadership of the country should rise up and work together to make Nigeria stand tall and better.”
“The speedy approach that was used to control Twitter in Nigeria same method can be applied speedily to tackle insecurity in the country off course I trust that the current leadership wishes Nigeria to survive and prosper.”
“I still advise the government to look inward and work things out not allowing those who are seeking for war just for their selfish motives to cause the efforts of the great wise men who fought for the progress of Nigeria to be in vain.”
“I thank all the security outfits and those leaders that have been in the forefront fighting for the progress and peace of Nigeria, God bless you and keep you safe.”
“I love my country Nigeria, I am proud to be a Nigerian and I am pleading with the leadership to rise up in honesty and fix things right for the purpose of progress and peace in our land.“
