These obviously are not the best of times for Nigeria’s Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari as he has been accused of receiving bribe from Nigerian ‘fraudster’, Ramon Abbas a.k.a Hushpuppi.
As if that is not enough, the International Police (INTERPOL) has been asked to arrest Kyari.
Nigerian famous Human Rights Activist, Deji Adeyanju made the request. He said Kyari should be arrested and handed over to the United States Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) for associating himself with an alleged internet fraudster.
Deji Adeyanju through his social media account, wrote; “Sack Abba Kyari now.”
“The Interpol should arrest Abba Kyari if he ever goes to Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Europe, etc and hand him over to the FBI.”
For those who don’t know, the US Department of Justice had reported that ongoing investigations showed that Hushpuppi allegedly bribed Kyari to arrest one of his accomplices in Nigeria, Kelly Chibuzo Vincent.
The report reads in part; “Vincent betrayed Hushpuppi and informed a victim that he was being scammed after having a dispute with his gang.”
“Abbas allegedly arranged to have Vincent jailed in Nigeria by Abba Alhaji Kyari, 46, of Nigeria.”
“According to the affidavit, Kyari is a highly decorated deputy Commissioner of the Nigerian Police Force who is alleged to have arranged for Vincent to be arrested and jailed at Abba’s behest.”
