Coronavirus Patients Escape From Isolation Centres In Oyo

There is fear in Oyo State as two Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients have absconded from the State Isolation Centres.

The State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, disclosed this on Wednesday, May 6th, 2020.

The Governor who is the Chairman of the State COVID-19 TaskForce, made the revalation via his Twitter page.

He wrote; “Of the 33 active cases being managed by the state, two have absconded, possibly to their permanent places of residence. This brings the number of active cases in Oyo State to 31.”

“Ten cases are self-isolating while 21 cases are being managed in the isolation centres in Oyo State.”

“One at the University College Hospital, Ibadan and 20 at Infectious Disease Centre, Olodo, Ibadan; 19 of these 20 cases at Olodo are asymptomatic while the last person has anosmia – loss of smell.”

“Please call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800, if you find travelers from other states arriving in your neighbourhood.”
