Information reaching us has it that Lagos State Police Command has released Nollywood Yoruba actor, Olanrewaju James, popularly known as Baba Ijesha on bail.
It would be recalled that the embattled actor has been in police detention for weeks after he was arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl since she was 7years.
Baba Ijesha’s bail was confirmed by his lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana on Monday, May 17th, 2021.
Ogunlana said; “Baba Ijesha has been granted bail about one hour ago. We are working to perfect the bail. He was granted bail on health grounds.”
“He hasn’t been released. He will be released after his bail conditions have been met.”
Ogunlana also explained that Baba Ijesha was granted administrative bail by the police in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties.
He said; “The terms of the bail include two reliable sureties- a blood relation and a level 10 civil servant.”
