The Chief adviser to the Delta State Governor, Senator Ighoyota Amori, has promised to discharge his duties by offering strategic, beneficial advice in the interest of all Deltans in line with the administration’s MORE agenda.
He gave the assurance during the grand inauguration of his new office Complex located on Anwai Road, DSS junction, Asaba.
Chief Amori said he was prepared to bring his wealth of experience in ensuring that the confidence the State Governor, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori has on him, was not taken for granted.
He said the position of Chief Adviser was a call to service and not only on political matters alone but all facet towards the realization of the MORE Agenda.
The Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Arthur Akpowowo, who commissioned the complex, described Chief Amori as a true founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who has weathered the storm and remained steadfast as a leader of the party.
He assured Amori of the maximum support fron both elected and appointed government officials.
In their goodwill messages, the Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government Area, Chief Jaro Egbo, Honourable Napoleon Obukowho, Honourable Solomon Ahwinahwi, Olorogun Barr. Fred Majemite, Honourable Austine Ayemidejor among others, described Chief Amori as a grassroot politician who deserves the position.
They thanked Governor Oborevwori for making the right choice in appointing Chief Amori as his Chief Adviser and expressed optimism that the governor will tap from his wealth of experience.
Earlier in his message, Reverend Father Christopher Ekabo harped on the need for believers to exhibit dignity of labour in the discharge of their duties and responsibilities as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
