Former Oyo State governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi’s children have cried out to the whole world, saying; “Our father is still alive”.
This is a swift reaction to the rumour making the rounds on the social media that the ex-Governor died from Coronavirus complication.
However, Ajimobi’s daughte-in-law, Fatima Ganduje-Ajimobi took to her Twitter page on Thursday 18th June, 2020 to debunk the death rumour.
She wrote; “Thank you for all the messages but our father is still alive, alhamdulillah. When it is our time we will all die so wait first.”

Furthermore, Ajimobi’s Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, Bolaji Tunji, in a statement also debunked the death rumour.
He said; “My attention has been drawn to the rumours circulating on the social media about my principal. Kindly disregard. We, however, continue to pray for him. Thank you all for the show of concern.”
