President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife, Aisha Buhari’s Special Assistant on Social Media, Sulaiman Haruna has debunked the rumour flying left, right and centre on social media that the Nigeria’s First Lady is pregnant.
The pregnancy tale gained weight after Aisha Buhari was seen in a photo where she appeared to be clutching her belly as if protecting a baby the way pregnant mothers do.
Besides, there were speculations from some quarters that the President’s wife was sick.
However, reacting to the rumours, Sulaiman Haruna, who spoke to BBC Pidgin, said; “The first lady is perfectly okay. I can assure you 100 percent that she is perfectly okay. She is neither sick nor pregnant as some reports claim.”
“Some of these reports are from mischief-makers who don’t mean well. You know, nowadays, people can tamper with photos.”
