That veteran actor, Chiwetalu Agu is in the custody of the Nigerian Army is an established fact.
For those who don’t know, the famous actor was arrested by Nigerian Army at Upper Iweka, Onitsha, Anambra State on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 for wearing a Biafra regalia.
Although, Chiwetalu Agu has cried out to the soldiers that the said attire is ‘rising sun’ and not Biafra regalia.
However, reacting to his arrest, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Emeka Rollas, blamed Chiwetalu Agu for donning the Biafra regalia, considering the tension in the state presently.
He said; “I don’t know why he put on Biafra regalia. The state is hot. We are in talk with the military officials to ensure he his released. I heard they have taken him to 82 Division of the Nigeria Military base. We will do our best.”
