Aggrieved members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) are planning to hold a protest rally in Gusau, the Zamfara state capital on Thursday.
We gathered that the rally which is being organised and sponsored by some powerful politicians in Nigeria, comprising both the PDP and the aggrieved APC members.
Sources alleges that those behind the rally include Gen Aliyu Mohammed Gusau rtd, former Senate President Bukola Saraki and Abdulaziz Yari, a former Zamfara State governor among other top politicians in the country.
Sources added that the rally which will be organised in the name of launching the distribution of rice for Ramadan is allegedly to be spearheaded by a former Zamfara Senator, Kabiru Marafa along with some Yari associates. They said the rally is also taking place a landed property belonging to the retired general located at Gada biyu in Gusau metropolitan.
Sources alleged that the rally is part of the agenda of Gen Gusau (rtd.), Bukola Saraki and Yari to disrupt the nation’s democracy and the Buhari’s administration in particular and to give an advantage to PDP to win 2023 general elections.
Sources told us that about three months ago, the three top politicians had a meeting at Gen. Gusau’s residence in Abuja where each of those who attended the meeting drove their cars by themselves, without any security escorts.
