Renowned Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Omoni Oboli, has called out television stations in Ghana for airing her movies without authorization.
Taking to her Instagram page on Saturday, Oboli expressed her frustration, accusing the stations of intellectual property (IP) theft. She revealed that her films were being broadcast without her consent, warning that she may take legal action against the offenders.
The actress, known for her advocacy on filmmakers’ rights, emphasized the importance of respecting copyright laws, urging TV stations to seek proper licensing before airing creative content.
She wrote; “I love my Ghanaian besties, colleagues, and friends, but you see those TV stations in Ghana, I’m coming for you! The guts to show my movies without licensing! If dem no arrest one of una, you won’t learn! Watch out! Coming for every one of you!”
