A bitter feud has erupted between popular Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, and Mrs. Abosede Aloba, the mother of late singer Mohbad, over serious allegations involving Mohbad’s brother, Adura.

The drama began in December when Yomi Fabiyi filed a petition with the Lagos State Police Command, claiming that Adura had initiated an Instagram chat where he allegedly demanded N3 million in Bitcoin in exchange for a video purportedly showing the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
Fabiyi posted the petition on his social media, stirring up further controversy.
Adura, however, denied the allegations, explaining that the message came from a friend to whom he had sold his phone. He insisted he was not involved in the chat and had no knowledge of any such demands.
In response, Mohbad’s mother, Mrs. Abosede Aloba, defended her son, saying; “They killed Mohbad, and now you want me to lose his brother unjustly? He knows nothing about his brother’s death, so don’t implicate him. If Mohbad were alive, I wouldn’t be in this position. They took my precious gift away, and I won’t let them take Adura, too.”
“It was Damola who used Adura’s message to Yomi Fabiyi. He confided in me, and I even wanted to take him to court; when I challenged him, he apologised, begging me that he never knew that was how the matter would turn out to be.”
“At this point, I thought you wanted to launder my son’s image. He has denied this allegation countless times, but you still called this press conference to taint his image. Those who are using my son’s death for their gains, I leave them to God.”
“This was how they started with Promise (Mohbad). Nobody knows what I’m going through. Imole would not know what killed his brother and keep this quiet.”
However, Yomi Fabiyi in his reaction said; “There is no way I would wish Adura or Mohbad any harm. If it wasn’t Adura who sent the message explaining Mohbad’s death, would you want me to keep quiet? You weren’t there when Mohbad died, so you may not know what happened.”
“All I am trying to say is that it was Adura’s handle that sent me the message. I don’t have anything against him. When I saw the message, I thought you wanted to help your brother. If you make a mistake and the person collects N3m from me, would you want me to keep quiet? I can’t.”
