Prior to an invitation extended to the Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Mahdi Aliyu Gusau by the state House of Assembly last week, to appear before it to explain for his non sympathetic attitudes of organizing a political rally in the state last month at the time the whole state was thrown into mourning of 40 people killed by some heartless bandits, the Deputy Governor was advised by several well wishers and allies never to organize the rally at that material time, as it wasn’t appropriate.
However, now realizing the mistakes he made, the Deputy Governor Mahdi is tilting his inhumane acts to the recent order by the Abuja Federal High Court to stop his alleged impeachment process by the State House of Assembly as an excuse of not honoring the independent Assembly invitation.
A source at the Zamfara state House of Assembly was quoted to have said that, the Deputy Governor should at this time suppose to note that, the State House of Assembly has no aggressive intention towards him, adding that the current Commissioner of Police was invited by the same Assembly and without any intimidation and the Police Boss appeared before the Assembly on the same issues.
According to the source the Police Commissioner has nothing to hide but rather advice the state Assembly with some highlights to avert future happening. Therefore, Mahdi the Deputy Governor should not be afraid to appear before the state Assembly to clear himself.
Recall that Deputy Governor Mahdi organized a political rally sometime last month at the period the state government declared three days mourning to commemorate the death of the 40 people killed by heartless bandits in the state.
However, Zamfara State Speaker, Hon. Nasiru Magarya advised Mahdi to respect the state legislature to appear in person for interaction and should not as a second in Command entertain any fear to clear himself.
