Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa has revealed that former Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has been granted bail.
But, according to the EFCC boss, Obiano is yet to fulfill his bail condition.
Bawa made the revelation on Monday, March 21st, 2022 at the 5th Annual General Assembly of the Network of National Anti-Corruption Institutions in West Africa (NACIWA).
Bawa said; “Former Anambra State Governor, Wille Obiano who was arrested on March 17 while attempting to travel to the US has been granted an administrative bail but he is yet to meet his bail conditions.”
“Nothing political about Obiano’s arrest. He has been granted bail. But we await when he fulfils his bail conditions.”
