Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s spokesman, Reno Omokri has taken Nigerian celebrities to the cleaners.
The founder of Build Up Nigeria, a multimedia project disclosed that celebrities live in perpetual debt due to their fake lifestyles.
He said; “You are richer than many of the celebrities who flaunt the lifestyle of the rich and famous on social media.”
“That house-mortgaged. The car-financed. Those clothes-on credit. Tabulate their assets and minus their liabilities and they are in deficit.”
To corroborate Reno’s assertion, a social media user also narrated his experience, he said; “It reminds me of when I was in University, one babe who was known as a very big girl, she rolled with very rich men, wears designer outfits, will always come and borrow money from me, she doesn’t take public transport , she didn’t have much in her account, people thought she had so much but no, she didn’t. I was her helper in many ways , I was kinda shocked she wasn’t rich.”
