The President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero has now been released by the Department of State Services (DSS).
The Labour leader was released on Monday night. His released we gathered was a move to avert a potential shutdown of the economy. Ajaero was released on administrative bail.
Popular activist, Omoyele Sowore disclosed this in a statement on his official X account.
He wrote: “BREAKING: The fascist regime of @officialABAT has released the @NLCHeadquarters President Joe Ajaero from @OfficialDSSNG custody on bail.”
For those who don’t know, Joe Ajaero was arrested by the DSS on Monday morning at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
Ajaero, was picked up by the DSS when he was about to board a flight to the United Kingdom (UK) for an official assignment.
