Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF) Founder and Vice Chairman of Nigeria Film Festivals Association, Audu Kashim Israel, has congratulated the new Head of Office and representative of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to Nigeria on his appointment.
The KADIFF founder, met with Diallo recently to brief him on the activities of the Kaduna International Film Festival, the Nigeria Film Festivals Association, the film and creative industry in northern Nigeria and to seek collaboration and support from UNESCO.
Audu, said he believes that culture brings people together irrespective of their religion, tribe or ethnicity.
On his part, Abdourahamane Diallo, thanked the KADIFF founder for the visit and promised that Northern Nigeria creative industry will be carried along and included in UNESCO’s programs as they prepare for the year 2024 .
Diallo said; “We will also look at the possibility of making Kaduna a creative city just like Asaba.”
Audu was also received by Philippe Delanghe, Head of Culture Unit, UNESCO Nigeria.
