Popular human rights activist, Prof. Zainab Abiola is in hot soup as she is now cooling her heels in police detention for brutalizing a female police officer.
Prof. Zainab Abiola and her domestic workers on Tuesday joined forces to beat up her orderly, Inspector Teju at her residence in Garki, Abuja for refusing to do house chores.
According to a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi on Thursday, September 22nd, 2022, he said;
“Zainab, a legal practitioner, human rights activist, and others assaulted her orderly on Tuesday at her residence in Garki, Abuja.”
“The attack followed the refusal of the orderly to breach professional ethics by carrying out menial and domestic chores at her house.”
“The IGP has directed the immediate prosecution of the suspects in custody.”
“Preliminary investigation shows overwhelming evidence of culpability on the part of the Professor and her domestic staff.”
“The IGP further tasked the investigative team to ensure that the fleeing suspect are arrested and made to face the wrath of the law.”
“Prof. Zainab name-drops the IGP, his family members, and other officers in the top hierarchy of the Force. She has no acquaintance with the Police in any form as erroneously peddled on social media.”
